So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. When he made love to her, the LORD enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son.

Naomi says call me Mara because the Lord has dealt bitterly with me.

Yet throughout the story she is still called Naomi.. Don’t change your name based on a SEASON. 

Damaged. Broken. Bitter. Divorced. Orphan. Unworthy. Used. The enemy loves to take a season of disappointment and convince you it defines your entire life. 

13 So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. When he made love to her, the Lord enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son. 14 The women said to Naomi: “Praise be to the Lord, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer. So again and again in this book it was God who was at work in the bitter setbacks of Naomi. When she lost her husband and sons, God gave her Ruth. When she could think of no kinsman to raise up offspring for the family name, God gave her Boaz. When barren Ruth married Boaz, God gave the child. The point of the story is made in the life of Naomi.

God’s redemption has impact force.
